Mission

The mission of Southeast Culinary & Hospitality College is to provide a quality career education to students who wish to pursue excellence in culinary and hospitality occupations. The college aspires to stimulate a lasting attitude of knowledge and its application beyond the boundary of its campus: and to serve and promote society by developing in students heightened intellectual, cultural, as well as professional expertise and a sense of purpose. Southeast Culinary & Hospitality College strives for excellence in all its endeavors and expects from students similar dedication to this pursuit. The mission of the college is to optimize human potential and performance within the community and throughout the region. Southeast Culinary & Hospitality College is committed to achieve the study, practice, and integration of learning with practitioners in the field. In these ways the college prepares professionals for leadership roles in the culinary and hospitality workforce. The college seeks to ensure excellence in its services and programs to develop selective areas for national and international prominence.

Financial Assistance

The college offers several forms of Financial Assistance to help you with your educational costs. Listed below are some options.

Payment Plan
The college offers a payment plan that allows you to take the total cost of the semester and divide it into 4 equal monthly payments. These payments are normally due the first Monday of each of the four months during that semester. You may opt to divide the payments into 8 equal payments and make the payments every two weeks. There is no application fee or finance charges for this service.

FAFSA- Title IV loans and Pell money will be available soon to all students- Please check with the College for more information. Our college ID number for FAFSA is 041338. After you have completed your FAFSA you will need to go to the colleges Virtual Financial Aid offices web site and complete a student interview and master promissory note.

Eastman Credit Union- This program is offered by Eastman Credit Union and is set up very similar to FAFSA. Interest rate is approx. 6%, repayment starts 6 months after graduation. This loan is based on your credit score and co-signer are allowed. Interest is paid monthly on loan balance until after you graduate and then 6 months later full monthly loan payments are paid until is paid in full

Scholarships
We offer three scholarships at the college:

Mountain Empire Scholarship
This is offered to all students that start at the college full time and is in the amount of $500.00 per semester.

Julia Childs Scholarship
This scholarship is available to students that have completed one full semester. The scholarship is available for up to $500.00 per semester. The funds for this scholarship comes from the tips and gratuities from banquets and catering events by students. Applications are available from the office.

Performance Food Service Scholarship

Our food provider for the college sponsors a $500.00 scholarship for one freshman student in the Fall and Spring term. Applications are available in the office.
